Hey all! 

I’m Joseph Gacula, a fourth-year majoring in Applied Computing and Media Communications, and the team lead of UW Bothell’s new Student Marketing and Design Team. We are the go-to resource for marketing and design support on campus! I oversee creative projects and support my team members to ensure we deliver high-quality materials. 

So, who are we? 

The Student Marketing & Design Team (SM&D) is a student-led creative team that promotes campus events, groups, and services through design, media and outreach. We create engaging visuals and content to support the voices of UW Bothell. If you’re reading this, that likely means yours, and we’re here to help. 

We’re made up of five talented members: Chantel Lam, Paul Soper, Meeti Gobindpuri, Paisley Lai, and myself. All of us take on work requested by the UW Bothell community. You might have seen our work around campus! We’re the ones behind posters for events like Open Mic Night, Fall Career Fair, and ARC After Dark.  

What can we do for you? 

Whether you’re part of a club, student organization, or department, we offer a range of free creative services upon request to help bring your ideas to life. In short, we offer graphic design, photo, video, and marketing services, but what does that look like in practice? 

Starting a new club and need a new logo? We can design it. Already have a brand and want to expand your reach? We can help with marketing strategy and consistent visuals. Throwing an event and wanting to stand out? We’ll make you a poster. Want to capture the moment to post afterwards? We’ll be there with cameras day-of. We’re here to support you, your events, and your services here on campus. If you’re ever wondering “Can they help with this?” chances are, yes.  

And that’s not all… 

We also run The Bothell Student Times, the event flyer you’ve seen in the bathroom stalls. This is a great and easy way to get eyes on any event or service! If you’re interested, be sure to submit a request through Gather (gather.uwb.edu) at least two weeks in advance. 

For any graphic design, photo, video, or marketing related requests, you can submit to our main request form here (https://cglink.me/2zX/s74). A member of our team will reach out to discuss the details and will have a draft for anything design related within two weeks.
